My Mother's Garden
My Mother's Garden

My Mother’s Garden is a reflection on memory, presence, and the enduring connections that continue across time. Created in the lead-up to Mother’s Day, the painting emerged through reflections on childhood, motherhood, and the quiet moments once shared in a beloved garden.
Layered circular forms move through soft greens, whites, and luminous light-filled spaces, suggesting pathways, portals, or unseen connections between the physical and the spiritual. The work evokes the feeling of being held within memory — where places, people, and moments continue to live within us long after they have passed.
Created intuitively through layers of colour, gesture, and mark-making, the painting speaks to remembrance, love, and the sense that those who shaped us remain present in subtle and enduring ways.
